Longview native and Owner of Kids First Therapy, Sue Haywood, has earned degrees from Texas Women’s University, University of Texas at Tyler in Kinesiology and Physical Therapy.
Sue completed post graduate work at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Sue started the Physical Therapy Department for International Service Corp. and continues to volunteer at the facility in Bangkla, Thailand. Sue served as the Director of Physical Therapy for Longview Regional Hospital in Longview, Texas.
Sue designed the First AmTryke, Tricycle for children with disabilities in 1998.
Sue has taught classes across United States for Physical and Occupational Therapist. She has evaluated patients for and presented hundreds of AmTrykes across US.
Sue is a life member of American Physical Therapists Association, North American Riding for the Handicapped and an American Hippotherapy Association and a certified Hippo therapist.
Sue was named National therapist of the year in 1993.
In her free time, Sue is an life time member and Board Member of Ambucs Longview Too Club Member since 1991, Life Member, Big Hatters. Sue loves New Beginnings Baptist Church where she is a Charter Member, Teaches Ladies Class, Mission Committee Chair, and is a Faith Team Leader.
She is passionate about local and international missions.
