Parent Advocacy in the ARD Process
Brief Description 250 words or less: An IEP must contain an appropriate Prior Written Notice (PWN).
This is not a simple cut and paste form but a synopsis of what was requested during the ARD meeting. Wording from new legislation states that the district must “offer cogent and responsive explanations for their decisions”.

Lynn Kistler earned a B.S. in Elementary Education with a minor in Special Education from Baylor University. In addition, she received a Master of Education in Special Education with an Educational Diagnostician certification at Stephen F. Austin University.
